About
I’m a 48-years young health/medical writer looking to rebel, reveal and revel in the here and now.
I started this blog after surfing the internet far and wide to see what folks were saying about the menopause and midlife. And it’s gave me pause, which is why I wanted to pick up my pen and intervene.
Too often, what I run across is run of the mill, me-too, stale copy with highly technical information “dumbed down” for the consumer OR advice on how to delight in the menopause OR unsound or unproven alternatives that are not tailored to the individual but to the masses. Menopause as a disease, midlife as a death sentence. You name it.
Voila! Flashfree was born!
I like to believe that Flashfree is organic, fresh and crisp, just-picked and newly-ripened, one perfect portion at a time, presented with you and your needs in mind.
My promise to you is this: straight talk, no shooter, engaging, factual, inspirational and timely. If you catch a few words here and there that resonate…well, we’re halfway there.
Got a pressing question about menopause or want to alert me to an innovative solution, tell me about your midlife experiences or just want to give me some feedback? I’d love to hear from you!
Write to me at flashfree111@gmail.com

You little devil; I didn’t know you were here! But now I know, and I’ll be tuning in! yay!
Well, you can run and cannot hide! Right?! Truly, great to see you found me!
Hi Liz, nice site on a topic that still isn’t widely discussed. I’m waiting for the Sex and the City women to hit menopause and make it “cool”!

I am so glad to find your site via DC Twitterers on Facebook. You know, I realize now I’ve been reading the wrong blogs. I’m 47, about 6 months into menopause, and totally relate. I’m hotflashing like crazy at night, trying to work during the day, and it’s great to find a voice like mine here. Thanks and keep blogging! Cheers, Diane
Diane – I’m thrilled that you found and hope that you’ll continue to find it helpful! Keep reading and commenting!

Wonderfully refreshing and informative website,Liz! Apparently, way back in the early 1980’s, you were really paying attention during our “Women and Their Bodies in Health & Disease” course offered through the Women’s Studies Department at the University of Wisconsin. How nice for the rest of us! You go girl and let it flow & flow & flow! Heidi
